Paul Coffey

Chief Executive Officer

Paul was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for npower in October 2015. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer at npower, and at RWE Innogy GmbH, the RWE Group's consolidated renewable energy business and one of the fastest growing in the world.

Paul has gained extensive executive experience in the European energy business, where he has covered a wide spectrum of disciplines including power generation, energy retailing, trading and risk management and also electricity distribution.

Dirk Simons

Chief Financial Officer

Dirk Simons joined npower as Chief Operating Officer in October 2015, before becoming the Chief Financial Officer in August 2016. Prior to that, from 2012-2015, he was Chief Financial Officer of RWE Innogy GmbH, the renewables business unit within the RWE Group and one of the fastest growing renewable energy companies in Europe. Before he was appointed as CFO at RWE Innogy he was Head of Finance of RWE East in Prague from 2011-2012, following on from his time as CFO for RWE Transgas in Prague from 2007-2012. Dirk has gained over 20 years of experience in the energy business, where he has covered a wide spectrum of disciplines including power generation, energy retailing, trading and risk management.

He has held a number of different management functions throughout his career within RWE including Head of Economic Efficiency Calculation at RWE Energy AG and CFO at RWE Key Account GmbH.

Dirk received his diploma in Economics in 1995 at RWTH Aachen.

Chris Pilgrim

Director, Human Resources

Chris Pilgrim was appointed HR Director for npower on 2 November 2009.

Chris started his career in the multi-national industrial environments of British Steel and Exxon Mobil, where he lead on people issues for Merger and Acquisition activity in Europe and became Global Leader for Resourcing and Development of Infineum, a Joint Venture set up between Exxon Mobil and Shell.

In 2003 he joined Numico, a food manufacturing organisation, as HR Director for UK, Ireland and the Nordics. In 2006, prior to joining npower, Chris led the HR function at Uniq, a European food manufacturing organisation with businesses in the UK and mainland Europe. Within these roles, Chris developed people strategies to support the business through periods of intense organisational change.

In addition to his current role, Chris is also a member of the Independent Pay Review Body for the Police and National Crime Association.

Simon Stacey

Managing Director, Home and Business

Simon was appointed Director of Home and Business Markets for npower in June 2015. Simon has overall responsibility for npower’s 5 million residential customers across the UK and a specific focus on helping to achieve npower’s aim of becoming number one in the industry for customer experience.

Prior to this Simon ran Energy Services business for npower from May 2010, where he was responsible for the delivery of the government’s energy efficiency programmes, Energy Company Obligation and the Green Deal, as well as Metering and npower’s Domestic Services business. Simon has also held the roles of Retail Finance Director between July 2008 and April 2010 and previously he has worked across npower in a range of roles, including Group Financial Controller. Simon qualified as an FCA accountant with PWC.

Jodie Eaton

Director, Business Solutions

Jodie Eaton was appointed Director of Business Solutions for npower in January 2013. Accountable for the performance of the Business Solutions segment, a 30TWh, £3bn+ turnover business, with c1000FTEs, spanning commodity (power and gas) and non-commodity (generation services and energy solution) activities.

Prior to this, she held the role of Head of Business Margin Optimisation, responsible for the financial performance of npower's SME and I&C business portfolios. Jodie began her career with Eastern Electricity and later moved to TXU Europe and later EON UK. She joined npower in 2007 and has held senior positions in the commercial team, including Head of Downstream Commercial Optimisation and Head of Risk Management, where she was responsible for managing retail, credit and operational risk across npower.

Jodie has extensive knowledge of the UK energy industry, with twenty five years’ experience in every aspect of generation, trading and the retail market.

David Titterton

Director, Energy Services

David has been with npower since 2000 and Director of Energy Services since 2015.  His role encompasses Metering, Smart, ECO, FiT and Domestic Energy Services.

David is the Director accountable for ensuring the company delivers on its ECO Obligations, FIT administration, Energy+ fulfilment on behalf of the Home & Business Segment, delivering Smart and Traditional Metering Services to the two market facing segments as well as preparing systems, processes and capability for the transition from Traditional to Smart Metering, ensuring that npower meets its obligations in respect of UK Smart roll out.

His priorities are to improve cost of delivery whilst maintaining and improving our already high standards of health & safety, people engagement and providing great service and value for our customers.

Guy Esnouf

Director, Communications and Corporate Responsibility

Guy is Director of Communications & Corporate Responsibility at npower. He started with the company in October 2013 after 6 years as Head of Corporate and Internal Communications for E.ON UK. He spent 14 years in the US, most recently as Senior Director of PR at Microsoft.

After completing a PhD in London University’s Department of War Studies, Guy began his career in politics before becoming a lobbyist and then spending four years in a Government relations role at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals. After this, he joined pharmaceutical company Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, working initially in the UK before moving to the US as Director of Worldwide Corporate Communications in 1994. In 2000, Guy moved to Unisys, where he spent six years rising to Vice President of Corporate Media Relations before joining Microsoft.

Jason Scagell

Director, Corporate Affairs and Development

Jason Scagell, Corporate Affairs and Development Director, leads all Public and Policy Affairs, Compliance and Regulatory activities and our E-mobility (electric vehicle charging) business.  Jason joined npower as Director of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in April 2013.  He led the business through substantial market changes before delivering the major program to re-platform the business onto SAP on time and budget, thereby enabling the creation of npower Home and Business in July 2017. 

Prior to this Jason held a number of senior leadership roles including Managing Director of Trading and Retail, and Trading and Assets, at Bord Gais Energy in Cork and Dublin, transforming the business from regulated incumbent gas supplier to a dual fuel business with nearly 1 million customers, class leading thermal generation and a substantial wind portfolio.

In an energy career spanning more than 20 years, Jason has also been Non-Executive Chairman of Ingenious Solar VCT plc, which was formed to provide investment opportunities in UK solar, and for 17 years worked for e.on UK and PowerGen plc. During this time he held substantive roles in retail and trading and was responsible for renegotiating high value gas supply contracts. Later at e.on UK, Jason was Director of Renewables delivering one of the UK's first offshore windfarms, and commissioning the UK's then largest dedicated biomass plant. Jason also served on the Government's Renewables Advisory Board (RAB).

Paul was was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for npower on 1st April 2015 with day to day responsibility for the operational running of RWE npower. Prior to that he held the position of COO at RWE Innogy GmbH, the RWE Group's consolidated renewable energy business and one of the fastest growing in the world.

Paul has gained extensive executive experience in the European energy business, where he has covered a wide spectrum of disciplines including power generation, energy retailing, trading and risk management and also electricity distribution.

Chief Operating Officer, npower

Dirk Simons joined npower as Chief Operating Officer in October 2015. Martin Mikláš

Martin Mikláš

Chief Financial Officer, npower

Martin Mikláš joined RWE npower as CFO in October 2015. He was the CFO for RWE Polska, the RWE energy provider subsidiary in Poland from 2011 to 2015 and prior to that he worked at RWE SK (company called VSE) where he joined as the Director for Finance and Corporate Development in 2003 before being appointed CFO in 2006.

He has had 18 years of experience in corporate restructuring (Chirana SK, Deutsche Telekom SK, RWE/VSE SK, RWE PL and RWE npower) along with an international education and experience (Cornell University, RWE Group Center Germany, RWE Poland and npower). He was also nominee for CFO in 2009 and 2010 in Slovakia.

Martin received his Diploma in Management in Comenius University, School of Management, Bratislava in 1996.

Human Resources Director

Chris Pilgrim was appointed HR Director for RWE npower on 2 November 2009.

Simon was appointed Director of Domestic Retail Markets for RWE npower in June 2015. Simon has overall responsibility for npower’s 5 million residential customers across the UK and a specific focus on helping to achieve npower’s aim of becoming number one in the industry for customer experience.

Director, npower Business

David Titterton

David Titterton

Director, Energy Services

On 1st October 2015, David took over as Director of Energy Services, responsible for Metering, Smart and Domestic Energy Services (Hometeam).

For the last year, David led npower’s Domestic Energy Services business and managed the merge of three existing businesses into one, including Domestic Care & Maintenance, Community Housing and Green Deal & Obligations.

He joined npower 14 years ago, having spent the previous 7 years with Scottish Power and has held many senior roles within both organisations. David holds an engineering Degree and qualified as a Chartered Building Services Engineer.
