Over 100 employees from RWE npower’s offices in Swindon donned shorts, tee-shirts and running shoes and completed an amazing 1,080 kilometres within three hours, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, in the company’s first-ever Swindon 10k fund-raising run. ">

npower will be supporting the inaugural MacRide Elgar, named after one of Worcestershire’s celebrated sons, who was an enthusiastic cyclist, himself. There are routes from fun, family ten milers through 25 miles, 60 miles and up to a really challenging 100 miles route. All start from Worcester racecourse on Sunday, May 15th. ">

However, on Sunday, that dream turned into a reality for the girls from King Ecgberts School, who, representing Sheffield United, saw off the challenge of Queens’ School, playing for Watford, winning the npower Football League U13 Girls Cup Final in a dramatic penalty shootout. ">
