Planning Consent for New Power Station Option at Willington

Proposals for a new gas pipeline to bring the natural gas fuel needed to operate the CCGT power station to the site are currently being developed and a consent application for the pipeline will be submitted to the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) by the end of 2011, followed by a twelve month determination period.

Local workers' charity feet

Eavesdropping results in fund-raising flurry

Eleven, kind-hearted colleagues from npower’s offices in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, have decided to climb Snowdon, at 1085m (3560ft), the highest mountain in Wales, in aid of little Lilly MacGlashan. Lilly’s family needs to raise £300,000 to send her to the USA for medical treatment to combat her rare form of cancer.

February is known to be the most depressing month of the year but a group of workers from npower’s offices in Rainton House, Houghton Le Spring, found a way to cheer themselves up; they spent a day to help Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
