January 27th 2011 will be a day Rita Vlahos, training officer at RWE npower’s Didcot Power Station, will never forget. Just after daybreak she reached the top of Uhuru Peak, 5,895 metres above sea level and the pinnacle of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.">

It is every youngster’s dream to play at Wembley Stadium and for King Ecgbert School that dream is about to become reality after securing their place in the npower Football League U13 Girls Final. Representing Sheffield United in the competition, King Ecgbert School qualified for the grand final after beating Laurence Jackson School (representing Middlesbrough FC), Shelfield Community Academy (representing Walsall FC) and Wilmslow High School (representing Stockport County) in the North regional final of the competition held at Huddersfield.">

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been named npower Championship Manager of the Month for January. Davies’ side conceded only three League goals throughout January, and recorded wins against Ipswich Town, Portsmouth, Derby County and Bristol City. Forest also beat Preston North End in the FA Cup Third Round.

Foxes maintained their challenge for a Play-Off spot.">

Leicester City midfielder Richie Wellens has been named npower Championship Player of the Month for January. Wellens helped his side notch up ten league points in January, as the Foxes maintained their challenge for a Play-Off spot.

Representing Watford FC in the competition, Queen’s School qualified for the grand final after beating Cheney School (representing Oxford United), Brimsham Green School (representing Bristol Rovers) and Coloma Convent School (representing Crystal Palace) in the South regional final of the competition held at Watford.">
