Eleven, kind-hearted colleagues from npower’s offices in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, have decided to climb Snowdon, at 1085m (3560ft), the highest mountain in Wales, in aid of little Lilly MacGlashan. Lilly’s family needs to raise £300,000 to send her to the USA for medical treatment to combat her rare form of cancer.">

In March, Macmillan Cancer Support volunteers will be trading their day jobs for an exhausting, cross-country cycle challenge in Mexico. Setting off from the Gulf of Mexico, cyclists from across the UK will embark on the 612km ride to raise money for the charity.">

January 27th 2011 will be a day Rita Vlahos, training officer at RWE npower’s Didcot Power Station, will never forget. Just after daybreak she reached the top of Uhuru Peak, 5,895 metres above sea level and the pinnacle of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.">

It is every youngster’s dream to play at Wembley Stadium and for King Ecgbert School that dream is about to become reality after securing their place in the npower Football League U13 Girls Final. Representing Sheffield United in the competition, King Ecgbert School qualified for the grand final after beating Laurence Jackson School (representing Middlesbrough FC), Shelfield Community Academy (representing Walsall FC) and Wilmslow High School (representing Stockport County) in the North regional final of the competition held at Huddersfield.">
