npower launches Feel Good Fix

npower today launches Feel Good Fix, a new tariff that runs until June 2018. Feel Good Fix is effectively a capped tariff guaranteeing that prices will not go up during this period, but if npower reduces its standard tariff prices, then customers will benefit from a  price fall comparable to that in their region[1].

Designed to give certainty and flexibility  – choosing Feel Good Fix could save dual fuel customers paying by Direct Debit as much as £198 on average over the next year compared to British Gas’ Home Energy Capped June 2017 tariff[2].

The tariff is available to new and existing customers paying by Direct Debit or on receipt of a bill. Feel Good Fix also benefits from no exit fees, for customers who may have a change in circumstance or change their minds.

Dominic Lavelle, Head of Product and Pricing at npower, said: “Our new Feel Good Fix is a great tariff for customers who want the certainty of no price rises - so they can plan and budget effectively – as well as  the potential to benefit from any price cuts.

“It offers customers peace of mind over the long term and it’s a win-win situation, especially for those who may have been putting off fixing their energy costs during a time of price uncertainty”

Notes to Editors

1. Prices won’t go up before 30 June 2018, subject to governmental or regulatory requirements. If the price of energy on our Standard Variable Rate falls before then, we’ll also reduce your energy

price, in proportion to the decrease in your area. Feel Good Fix June 2018 is not available to customers with non-standard or pre-pay meters. Offer subject to availability and may be withdrawn, suspended or amended at any time.

2.Compares npower’s Feel Good Fix June 2018 tariff with British Gas’ HomeEnergy Capped Jun 2017 tariff. Based on a Direct Debit dual fuel customer with typical annual gas consumption of 12,500 kWh and single rate electricity consumption of 3,100 kWh. Costs are averaged across mainland UK. Includes the annual value of Direct Debit discounts and VAT at the reduced rate of 5%. Actual comparison/annual cost will vary according to the number of fuels taken, the applicability of discounts and by region, consumption and meter type. Figures are rounded. If you stop paying by Direct Debit, you’ll move on to the non-discounted version of our Feel Good Fix June 2018 tariff. Correct as at 31/03/16. Full terms and conditions can be found via
