Local company wins Caribbean Christmas

Christmas came early for local software company CM2000, who won an exciting prize courtesy of energy company npower Business.

After looking for new and exciting ways to celebrate the company’s year-end successes, Sutton Coldfield-based CM2000 entered Free Radio’s competition with npower Business, which saw them win £1500 to spend on a reward of their choice to celebrate their hard-working team.

CM2000, who have been based in Four Oaks House since 2005, provide award-winning software which supports health and social care. Ray, who’s worked at CM2000 for 4 years, told npower Business in his winning entry that he’d like to put on a party which captures everything Caribbean, so he can treat his colleagues to the foods he loved growing up.

He said: “We were absolutely thrilled to have won the prize. As a business we don’t often get the chance to get together socially, as people have lots of different commitments, so I decided to put something on in the office that everyone could make. The Caribbean theme was a real talking point, we had decorations, Caribbean music, drinks and some amazing food – it was an unforgettable day that we’re still talking about!”

Helen James, Head of Marketing at npower Business commented: “For small businesses it can often be difficult to find the time to celebrate success and reward staff in a way that will be really appreciated, so we wanted to help. I’m really happy that we were able to help Ray to give his colleagues the celebration they deserve.”
